Germantown Plaza has signed the first Papa Murphy’s Take N Bake Pizza in the mid-south area. Papa Murphy’s Take N Bake Pizza, is the 2nd largest pizza company in the country. The concept on which this restaurant is designed is one where you come in “design” your pizza, they make it then you take it home and bake it in the convenience of your own home and enjoy it fresh from the oven……opening this summer.

In the summer of 2007 Finard Properties purchased the Welcome Wagon in downtown Memphis, TN. This historical building was built in the early 1900’s and has undergone a complete renovation. The first floor is now occupied by Bank Tennessee who celebrated their grand opening in October 2008.

One Monument Square, Portland Maine will shortly start the renovation of the exterior of the building. The first stage will be to remove the interior storm windows and the perimeter induction units that are no longer used for heating the building. This will be followed by the removal of the exterior windows and replacement of a new thermal insulated high eficiency window unit. The second stage of the project is to install a new exterior skin over the entire brick facade of the building made up of Copper Metallic Alucabond panels. These panels will seal the exterior facade, preventing any water from entering the building. This design will cover all the existing brick and present the building with a much improved state-of-the-art design. In addition to these exterior panels, we are building a new entrance to the building on Monument Square that will include a new revolving door, new landscaping and pavers, new trees to replace the current trees built on the sidewalk and granite base. This entry will lead to the renovated Keybank (now under its own reconstruction) and to a new proposed restaurant space on the Federal Street side in the former half of the Keybank space.

BURLINGTON, VT - University Mall is proud to announce the opening of the IHOP Restaurant Today, Tuesday, March 24, 2009. The IHOP franchise is owned by Burlington based Star Generations Inc. and is leasing 4771 sf inside the North end of University Mall. The space was formerly occupied by Kay Jewelers and Haircuts Plus, both of which have relocated to different spaces within the Mall. Proprietor Sam Handy said that over 110 employees were hired. IHOP currently runs restaurants in 49 US states and the South Burlington opening will mark the 50th state. Business hours are 7:00am - 10pm during the week and 7:00am - 12 Midnight on Friday and Saturday. A "Grand Opening" is planned for April. Their phone number is 658-3303.

SOUTH PORTLAND, ME - Sun Tan City opened for business at the Shaw's Mill Creek Plaza on March 6, 2009. The new tanning salon offers state-of-the-art equipment and tanning beds.

SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE - Mill Creek Realty signed a new lease in late December 2008 with Sun Tan City for the former Animal Antics space at the Shaw's Mill Creek Plaza. The new tanning salon offers cutting edge technology and the latest in high quality state-of-the-art equipment and tanning beds. Sun Tan City plans to open for business in early March, 2009.

HYDE PARK, MA - Sovereign Bank is in lease negotiations with Finard Properties to build a 3,433 sf bank on a pad site at the Shops at Riverwood project. A full-service temporary satellite location has opened on site, with anticipated construction of the permanent site to begin in summer, 2009. The shops at Riverwood is a new 105,000 sf shopping center named by members of the community. Also at the center will be a 36, 431 sf Price Rite Supermarket, with an anticipated opening of Fall, 2009. A T-Mobile cell tower lease has been re-negotiated for the existing smokestack tower on the property.

ESSEX, VT - Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse has opened its second Vermont store at the (former) Town Plaza location just off Vermont Route 15 in Essex, Vermont. The former Ames/Grand Union Supermarket were razed to accommodate the newly constructed 153,237 sf store. Lowe's held a grand opening on Thursday, February 26, 2009. Chittenden Bank continues to hold a land lease at this same location.

SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT - IHOP Restaurant will open its first Vermont store on March 24, 2009 at University Mall. The casual sit-down restaurant currently operates stores in 49 states. The new in-line store, located inside Vermont's largest indoor shopping mall will have seating capacity for 160 with square footage of 4,771. The store will become 24 hours at a later date.
